The Rampage Report: March 4, 2013
The San Antonio Rampage closed out their annual Rodeo Road Trip last week with a 5-0 loss to Peoria last Friday and a 7-3 loss to Grand Rapids on Sunday, but were able to pull off a win Saturday night against with a 6-3 victory over the Griffins.
This past Saturday, the team finally returned to home ice and hosted their Military Appreciation night as well as the Chicago Wolves. After a scoreless first period, Greg Rallo tipped in Zach Miskovic‘s shot midway through the game for the first goal of the night. The Rampage held their 1-0 lead until Andrew Ebbett tied things up early in the third. Garrett Wilson set up Zach Hamill for the Silver and Black’s game winning goal minutes later. Goaltender Dov Grumet- Morris and the rest of the team skated off the ice in front of over 10,700 fans with a 2-1 victory and 2 more points under their belts.
Panthers Close But Not Enough
Normally, the day after games, I use this space to review the night before and look at what happened, who scored and how, and what it means going forward. But I’m not going to do that today. Frank already covered much of that last night anyway. Quite frankly, I feel like I’ve written the same recap a great deal already this season: Almost but not quite enough. Granted, the ‘goalie coach suiting up in an emergency‘ situation was a new twist but, the result still ended up the same.
