After compiling a slew of dazzling shootout and penalty shot goals during his Calder Trophy campaign last season, Panthers’ budding star, Jonathan Huberdeau, continued his shootout dominance on Saturday night as the Panthers earned a much needed 2-1 shootout victory over the visiting Minnesota Wild.
Already having stopped 21 of 22 Panthers’ shots on the night, Wild goaltender Josh Harding looked nearly unbeatable heading into the shootout after a scoreless overtime. Luckily for Panthers’ fans, Huberdeau and his bag of shootout tricks were ready to bring fans at the BB&T Center to their feet.
Huberdeau is now 3 for 5 on shootout attempts in his young NHL career.
